Drs. Howard, Varghese, and Virtual Eye Care is your neighborhood eye doctor located at 4814 N Clark Street. Your Chicago eyecare center offers genuine eye care where your eye health and wellness is our primary focus. Annual eye exams are a recommended cornerstone for ensuring the health of your eyes. In addition to checking for changes in your vision and updating your prescription, we will also look at your overall eye health, internally and externally. Prevention and early detection are keys to maintaining healthy eyes, as some eye health issues have no immediate symptoms but can still cause damage if left untreated. That’s why regular check-ups are critical.

    Dr. Howard grew up in St. Louis, MO. After graduation, she spent over 10 years practicing primary care optometry in Nashville, TN. She has since returned to the Midwest and happily calls Chicago home. Outside the office, she enjoys traveling, exploring new foods and restaurants, a good glass of wine, reading, skiing in the winter, walks with her dog, and relaxing on the beach. As an animal lover (she would take in more if she could) she shares her home with a golden retriever and 3 cats.

    Education: Proud honors graduate of Murray State University (BS in Biology, Chemistry minor, 2011) and cum laude graduate Southern College of Optometry (Doctorate of Optometry, 2015).

    Get convenient, comprehensive digital eye exams at our location. Experience high-quality care with advanced equipment, including slit lamp and retinal imaging. Our friendly technicians guide you through testing and new prescriptions. Then, connect face-to-face with an expert remote optometrist via live video call to review your prescription, eye health, and questions. If additional testing is needed, we'll seamlessly coordinate a referral to our in-store doctor or a trusted specialist.

    As an experienced optometrist serving this vibrant neighborhood, I provide comprehensive, proactive care for optimal vision and eye health. This includes expertly updating prescriptions, finding the perfect eyewear solutions, and performing detailed exams to detect subtle changes in ocular health early. My goal is for every patient to leave feeling their absolute best. Outside the clinic, I am a Chicago foodie who enjoys traveling and spending time with family.
