Darrien Gaston, MD, FACP, FACG, is a gastroenterologist with over 25 years of experience diagnosing, treating, and preventing diseases of the digestive tract. Located in the Beverly area of Chicago at Metropolitan Gastroenterology Consultants, Dr. Gaston addresses everything from ulcerative colitis to colon cancer. He’s specially trained in innovative procedures and works with state-of-the-art equipment to bring patients safe and effective treatments. Dr. Gaston graduated from Northwestern University in 1980 and continued his education at University of Illinois College of Medicine. He completed his residency at St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago, as well as a fellowship in Gastroenterology at Cook County Hospital. Board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Gaston is also a professional member or fellow of the following organizations: American College of Gastroenterology American College of Physicians American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Association for Bariatric Endoscopy With a passion for providing patient-centered care, Dr. Gaston listens to each of his patients and addresses their concerns with dignity and respect.
