  Michael Sallander

  President & Co-Founder

  How many of us get to say that we grew up to be what we wanted to be when we were young? Well Mike does! After graduating from the University of Illinois, he turned his dream into a reality and co-founded Chicago Digital with Scott Shefler. As the President of Chicago Digital he has done it all, from running the company, sales, project management, website development and everything in-between. Mike loves solving problems; making the world of web development a natural fit for him as he creates solutions rapidly, while quickly and continuously improving upon them. He is a perpetual learner in all areas of his life and takes great satisfaction in discovering/creating new things and sharing them with others. Being a natural entrepreneur, it was only a matter of time before Mike created new ventures. Shortly after co-founding Chicago Digital, Mike co-founded the BC Academe and Solid Sky. This enabled him to take his passions for helping others and programming to a new level. As an instructor at the BC Academe, Mike has taught students from around the world on how to build websites on the Adobe Business Catalyst platform. On the rare occasions that you find Mike's attention away from Chicago Digital or at least out of the office, you will probably find him playing video games, singing along to his favorite songs, attending concerts, traveling or learning a new hobby. A lifelong interest of Mike is learning new hobbies. He loves being a beginner and going through the process of taking something you don't know well and learning it. Recently for him, it is long distance running. For most of his life he despised long distance running and never considered it something he was good at. Last year he overcame this and ran several races including the Chicago Marathon. When Mike is not in this great city, he enjoys getting away and experiencing other cities and cultures. He loves being in this industry because the technology enables us to easily work with people all around the world. As the leader of our company Mike strives to better our customer's experience: "I will increase customer satisfaction by better communicating expectations and creating processes to consistently deliver high quality experiences."

  Scott Shefler

  VP of Web Development & Co-Founder

  Scott is Co-Founder and VP of Web Development at Chicago Digital. Scott has made a name for himself around the industry for his front-end web development skill set and quality of work. More specifically Scott is an Adobe Business Catalyst expert with over 5 years of knowledge working on the platform day in and day out. Scott is also a co-founder and instructor at the BC Academe, where it gives him a chance to share his knowledge with other developers in the community. Scott has a passion for developing website solutions for his clients. He enjoys the challenge of working with a variety of businesses in a multitude of industries to identify the different goals and objective that are often unique for each business. He loves to take those goals and objectives in order to construct a beautiful website that can help grow a business. The driving force behind Scott’s passion is seeing the results when great design, development and marketing come together to deliver a website that can transform an individual or companies life. "I strive to deliver the best results through gaining a deep understanding of a businesses goals and objectives." Growing up Scott could almost always be found on the computer, whether it was playing games, learning to program, or building websites for fun. He later attended the University of Illinois with business partner Mike Sallander. This is where the two of them received their education and turned their interests and dreams into reality by starting Chicago Digital right after school. Outside of Chicago Digital Scott tends to be a homebody, relaxing on his time off with his family and wife Stefanie. Together they enjoy trying new restaurants and love roaming around the beautiful city of Chicago. When Scott can get away from work, he loves to travel with his wife. Don’t be surprised if you run in to Scott on the beach with a Corona sometime soon.
