  Prime's management has been underwriting specialty risks for over 30 years. UDA underwrites business for Prime Insurance Company and Lloyd's of London and is structured to provide careful underwriting as a third party administrator. Prime's team of experienced underwriters will review the risk and provide options and solutions. They provide customized options on coverage, limits and premiums to meet the needs of the risk and the insured.

  Prime operates a claims function that is focused upon the early determination of the factual and legal issues that affect resolution and claims value. Accordingly, Prime aggressively investigates and adjusts claims to the fullest extent practicable, as opposed to passively processing claims. By getting involved with potential claims early, Prime can work for a timely resolution without incurring unnecessary expenses. Maintaining experienced in-house claims personnel to handle claims represents one of Prime's highest priorities. When necessary, independent adjusting firms and outside independent attorneys are contracted to investigate and coordinate claims management; although, Prime's objective remains settling most claims in-house to closely control outside expenses. All claims are handled in-house by claims managers and support staff to adjudicate claims. Prime proactively handles claims for itself, as well as Lloyd's of London. Particularly for specialty insurance underwriters, a direct relationship with claims examiners, risk managers and insurers is extremely beneficial. The in-house claims department provides another opportunity to promote a higher quality, faster and more efficient claims negotiating and team approach to handling claims, and reduces related claims handling costs and expenses.   The assessment, management, and loss cost containment of insured risks are long-standing objectives at Prime. Prime's risk management department fosters a mutually beneficial relationship with Prime's insured by taking a partnership approach to the management of each insured's account. RMD begins this partnership with an initial contact with the insured to: welcome the insured to the company review policy terms, limits, and conditions establish a direct point of contact for risk management related concerns In addition, Prime provides a copy of its Risk Management Manual that contains both general risk management guidelines and claims reporting forms to the insured. RMD adds value to the insured by providing focused and risk relevant guidelines for claims prevention along with an outline for developing risk management protocol within the insured's operations at no additional charge to the insured.
