Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist/OwnerDr. Erin Petrik is the passionate founder of Songbird Pediatric Dentistry, serving Chicago's families with expertise, empathy, and a musical touch. Born and raised near Minneapolis, Dr. Erin has called Chicago home for nearly 20 years. She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin Madison, completed dental school at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2014, and finished her pediatric residency at Children's Wisconsin in 2016. As a board-certified pediatric dentist, Dr. Erin brings over a decade of experience caring for children in the Chicagoland area—including as a part-time attending dentist at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago and as an active member of the Lurie craniofacial team. Dr. Erin’s approach is deeply shaped by her own childhood experiences growing up with a craniofacial cleft. She is committed to providing unmatched, individualized care to every young patient, aiming to replace dental anxiety with joy and trust through sensory-rich, music-inspired visits. As a local mom, marathon runner, and music lover, Dr. Erin is regularly seen enjoying Chicago’s parks and live music venues with her daughter Olivia, partner Oscar, and their beloved pug, Gibson. She is dedicated to building strong, lasting relationships with families—fostering a true dental home where every child feels safe, seen, and excited to return.
