    Founding Partner

    Michael "Mike" LaMonica is a founding partner of LaMonica & Sprague, LLC. Mike has developed a reputation as a dynamic and personable trial lawyer. In 2004, Mike graduated from Indiana University, with highest distinction. Mike then received his law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2007. While in law school, Mike received a CALI award for excellence after earning the highest grade in his medical malpractice class. He represents clients throughout the Chicagoland area in matters involving all different types of personal injury cases. He initially formed Fisher & LaMonica, P.C. in 2011, and went on to obtain millions of dollars in settlements and judgments for his clients. Mike was selected by Illinois Super Lawyers in 2014-2022 as a "Rising Star," recognizing the top 2.5% of attorneys in the state. Clients appreciate Mike's thorough and personal attention to their legal problems. In addition to being their zealous advocate, Mike is sympathetic to the effect an injury can have on an individual's ability to work and to care for themselves and their family. For this reason, Mike prides himself on working efficiently to get his clients the compensation they deserve as quickly as the law allows. Mike is an active member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, Illinois State Bar Association, and Chicago Bar Association. He is able to communicate with clients in Spanish and Greek. When Mike is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife (Emily) and sons (Andrew, Benjamin, and James). Mike particularly loves coaching his sons' sports teams and traveling with his family.

    Patrick Sprague is a founding partner at LaMonica & Sprague, LLC. Patrick prides himself on having his clients' backs during difficult and challenging times. He focuses his efforts on personal injury, transportation accidents, construction accidents and medical malpractice cases. Prior to LaMonica & Sprague, Patrick worked as a trial attorney for nearly seven years at one of Chicago's largest insurance defense firms. During that time, Patrick gained invaluable experience that he utilizes to advocate for his clients and achieve maximum results. Since becoming an attorney on behalf of injured folks, Patrick has secured millions of dollars in settlements and verdicts on behalf of his clients. Over his career, Patrick has successfully tried numerous cases to verdict before juries throughout Illinois. Additionally, Patrick was selected by Illinois Super Lawyers in 2022, 2023 & 2024 as a "Rising Star," recognizing the top 2.5% of attorneys in the state. Patrick received his bachelor's degree at Eastern Illinois University before graduating Magna Cum Laude from Valparaiso University School of Law. Patrick was also trained at the renowned National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA) in Boulder, Colorado. Patrick is an active member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, and the Chicago Bar Association, where he was previously selected to sit on the Judicial Evaluation Committee. In his free time, Patrick loves spending time with his wife (Jacqueline), four children (Joseph, Michael, Hannah and Luke), watching the Chicago Cubs, and playing golf.
